4 days trip to Merzouga from Mararrakech is a trip to Sahara that allows you to:
Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait ben haddou Kasbah – Roses valley -Dades valley.
In the morning our driver meets you in your accommodation to start your first day to Dades Valley. You will enjoy different spectacular views of the Berber villages while you cross the high Atlas Mountains. After that you will make it to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou that is considered a world heritage site by the UNISCO. Also, it is the place where Gladiator, Games of throne and other famous movies have been filmed. Once you have lunch in the village of Ait Ben Haddou you will continue to Ouarzazat. Later on, you will make it to the Roses Valley in Klaat Mgouna; where you have a chance to visit a rose cooperative before you drive to Boumalne Dades. Overnight in Dades Valley.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Tinghir – Toudra gorges -Erfoud – Merzouga.
There is no doubt that today is going to be a special and unique day in your trip.
After having a delicious Moroccan breakfast in your Riad, you will head to Tinghir and drive along Toudra Valley towards Toudra gorges. You will have a short hike in the most famous rock-climbing place in Morocco.
After having lunch, your destination will be Erfoud that is known as the capital of fossils; the area used to be a sea area millions of years ago and many fossils are still being found there. In the afternoon, you will head to the dunes of Erg-chabbi to meet your camel man. Before the sunset, you will ride the camels and climb the dunes to enjoy the most beautiful sunset ever. After that, you will continue to the camps where you will be welcomed and served a Berber tea. Once you have a Moroccan dinner under the stars, you will enjoy the Berber music performed by the locals in the camps. It will be a unique place to enjoy the stars and a peaceful night. Overnight in the camps.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Agdez – Ouarzazat.
Waking up in a quiet and peaceful place in desert is a good feeling that you may not feel elsewhere.
Today, you will wake up about 30 min before the sunrise to enjoy the sun coming out creating a beautiful view. After that, you will have your breakfast in the camps and depart to Rissani; the origin of the Alaouit dynasty and the old economic capital of Morocco that still known by its big local market. You will have time to explore the different sections of the market. Later on, you will be driving via Alnif to get to Agdez to enjoy a spectacular view of Draa Valley before you make to Ouarzazat.
Day 4: Ouarzazat – Hight Atlas Mountains-Marrakech.
Our fourth day destination will be Marrakech. After having breakfast in the Riad, we will visit the Atlas studios or the movie sets in Ouarzazat and Taourirt Kasbah. Then we drive through Telouat to enjoy its spectacular Berber villages and stop for lunch in the mountains before we continue to Marrakech and end our 4 days trip to Sahara Desert.
